We started PhotoPop because events in Colombo deserved better than a webcam in a box.
Go to enough weddings and receptions in Colombo and you notice the same thing: dinner, dancing, and a lot of guests on their phones. The entertainment that people genuinely remember — the thing they talk about afterwards — is usually missing.
Photo booths solve that, but only when they're done properly. Too many are a tablet on a stand with a cheap printer, producing photos nobody wants to keep. We wanted the opposite: a real DSLR, proper lighting, and prints that come out fast enough that people queue up for a second turn.
So we built PhotoPop — a professional, fully automated booth that guests operate themselves, with prints in seconds and every photo delivered digitally the same day. And it arrives early, set up by people who know Colombo's venues.
